BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has never faced the Patriots but, a week from Sunday in Minnesota, he'll get his first chance in the N-F-L's biggest stage - Super Bowl 52.

Foles backed up Carson Wentz most of the year after contemplating retirement, but Wentz's torn A-C-L last month thrust Foles into the starting gig. He's gone 4-and-1 since, with playoff upsets of the Falcons and Vikings.

Now, though, he'll have to knock off M-V-P favorite and 5-time champ Tom Brady.

Foles is obviously familiar.

"Any young quarterback, any quarterback around has watched Tom Brady," he said. "He's doing an amazing job, probably the greatest quarterback to play the game ... I think as a young quarterback or any quarterback, you can look at that and you can respect that."

Foles has started 3 career playoff games and totaled 5 touchdowns. No interceptions.

Hear more from Foles below--as well as Pats linebacker Kyle Van Noy's praise for the Eagles QB.
