WORCESTER (WBZ-AM) -- A Worcester man was arraigned Tuesday afternoon after police found a man's body in his Valley Hill Drive home Monday night.
Xavier Broughton, 32, was arrested and charged with disinterment of a human body and misleading a police investigation.
He was ordered held without bail pending a Wednesday dangerousness hearing.
Worcester Police said they haven't yet identified the man's body, but the family of Justin Ramos believes it is him.
In court, the Assistant District Attorney said Broughton and Ramos were partying together on January 7.
Prosecutors said Broughton told police Ramos stopped breathing, so he brought his body to the back porch.
They said the body at Broughton's house was found covered in boxes.
The defense said Broughton spoke willingly with police on two occasions, and disputed the "misleading police" charge.
Pictures of Ramos are posted on light poles around Broughton's house.
Homicide investigators were at the house Tuesday.
A medical examiner will determine what caused the unidentified man's death.
