Two of Saturday Night Live’s most recognizable alumni, Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch, returned Saturday night to take a playful jab at the two Super Bowl fan bases. In the colonial-era short, the braggadocios ‘patriots of New England’ square off with the cunning eagles of Philadelphia.
The caricature sees both sides hurling era-appropriate zingers back and forth. Most notable, is a shot at New England quarterback Tom Brady.
“Can I tell you something about your precious captain, Thomas Brady?” taunts Fey’s Philadelphian. “He’s old, okay? He’s like 40, that’s four years past life expectancy.”
“Talk to us when you win one…” Dratch responds, like a true New Englander.
Of course, there’s also a shout out to New England staple, Dunkin’ Donuts.
