BOSTON, MA (24/7 News Source) -- Clergy and activists from across the Commonwealth say they are joining the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.
They gathered Monday at the State House declaring legislative leaders have failed to address issues, including what they describe as systemic racism and poverty.
A spokeswoman for the Massachusetts Poor People's Campaign coordinating committee says tens-of-millions of poor and low-income people in America will no longer be silent.
Organizers says this spring there will be six weeks of direct action including waves of nonviolent disobedience demanding a change in course.
