BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- All-Star starter Kyrie Irving's averaging 25 points a game this season, but the Celtics have managed to win three straight without their best player as he's rested his bruised quad.

Irving and Marcus Morris joined their teammates to start a 2-game road trip, which means both could play tonight in Toronto in the 7:30 tip.

Terry Rozier's shined with both Irving and Marcus Smart out. In his first three career starts, he's averaged 20 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

How has Rozier's group played so well without Kyrie?

"It just shows the character of our team," Rozier said. "It's just always ready, we can always count on one another."

Important one tonight. Celts lead the Raptors by just 2 games in the East. Raps have won 4 of 5 and they're 21-and-4 at home.

C's won their first meeting in Boston 95-94 November 12.
