NEEDHAM (WBZ-AM) -- Police in Needham are warning residents to keep their doors locked and their outdoor lights on after a string of reported Peeping Tom incidents.

The latest was on Saturday night, off Oxbow Street.

Needham Police Chief John Schlitter believes it's the same thin, white male in his teens or 20s approaching homes through backyards in each case.

"It appears on the occasions that we're linking together here in town that he is going through the back yards and peering in the windows," Chief Schlitter said.

He said there haven't been any reported break-ins in connection to the sightings.

"Obviously the biggest concern is, we're not sure what the motive is," Chief Schlitter said. "We're worried about the safety of our residents, just because of the time and the nature of the incidents, being in somebody's backyard."

Nothing has been stolen and nobody has been hurt, but police are urging anyone who sees something suspicious to call them so they can track the suspect down.
