BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Good news, Red Sox fans--the equipment truck arrived safely down in Fort Myers.
WBZ's Jonny Miller called Thursday morning from the Fort to let us know baseball season's getting closer and, maybe, the weather will improve soon, too.
Jonny caught up with new Sox skipper Alex Cora, and he dished on what he learned from his old manager and current Indians dugout boss Terry Francona, who Cora described as "The master of saying a lot without saying anything."
"He was always open with his players," Cora said. "He told me, you know, you're going to have your ups and downs, but you have to be consistent as a person, and hopefully I can do that for my managerial career."
The first pitchers and catchers workout is Wednesday, followed by full-squad workouts a week from Monday. Then, believe it or not, the first exhibition games are just two weeks from Thursday, with split-squad games against Northeastern and Boston College.
