BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Chris Sale and David Price each won 17 games and led the majors in innings pitched in their first seasons in Boston.

The thing is, Price was hurt most of last year and limited to just 11 starts before appearing a handful of times out of the bullpen.

Red Sox fan--or management, for that matter--haven't seen the two aces dominate atop the rotation together the way they've hoped.

But that could change this year. Spring training workouts begin Wednesday for pitchers and catches, and both Sale and Price are healthy.

New manager Alex Cora knows their importance.

"One thing I like about them, the way they go about their business, they're great people," he said. "They're hungry. There's a team that fell short the last two years, we know that. It seems like they're eager to start right away and accomplish our goals."

The regular season starts March 29 in Tampa, just six weeks from tomorrow.
