MILLBURY, MA (WBZ-AM) -- It was a close call for a mother getting her child off a school bus in Millbury, a week ago both were nearly hit by a speeding SUV.
The bus driver honked his horn to warn of the speeding car and to allow mom Ashley Markidakis and her 7-year-old daughter Lyla to barely escape with out injury.

Markidakis told WBZ-TV the whole thing really shook her up and angry
" I had such an adrenaline surge after I realized that a car almost hit us that I literally contemplated for second chasing down the car ," she said.
Witnesses say the woman driving the SUV was looking down at her phone and sped right past that school busy which had its lights and stop sign out.
Police are still searching for the driver of that SUV
