DUXBURY, MA (WBZ-AM) – On the south shore, the work continues to shore up the sea walls that have been compromised by the last storm.
In Duxbury, where a large portion of the seawall is gone.
Despite the stormy weather, crews continue to bring boulders along the Duxbury coastline. An excavator is being used to reinforce the sea wall behind cable hill way, after a 150-foot section washed away over the weekend.
Scott Lambiase, Director of Municipal services tells WBZ NewsRadio1030’s Bernice Corpuz says restoration is going well.
“We are stable right now, so far the restoration is going well, it’s been hard and mother nature has not given us a break, the wind has subsided but they are working hard against it but we are gaining ground,”Lambaise said.
Town officials will continue to monitor this area and other parts of the town that are prone to flooding during high tide.
