BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Bruins will try for their fifth straight win when they host the Flyers tonight at 7 p.m. B's have won their last five at the Garden.
Another W won't be easy, even in spite of Brad Marchand's recent, consistent heroics.
His linemate Patrice Bergeron's out injured. So is top-pairing defenseman Charlie McAvoy. And now David Backes won't play the next three games after the NHL suspended the veteran for hitting Red Wings forward Frans Nielsen in the head Tuesday.
Still, as bodies have weaved in and out of the lineup, Boston keeps finding a way - and often with lots of offensive support. During this winning streak, B's have outscored their opponents 20-to-13.

How does Brad Marchand explain that?
"We rely on everyone on this team," he said. "The D have been stepping up huge lately, really contributing, which is really hard to defend against. When we're able to rely on all the forwards and all the D to produce, that makes you a very dangerous team."
Marchand also has seven points during the run.
Flyers recently reeled off wins in 10 of 11 and points in 12 in a row but, since, four straight losses by a combined 20-to-10. They fell to the Penguins 5-2 last night.
So, perhaps the timing's good for the B's.
