BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Andrew Benintendi doubled and scored a run in yesterday's 6-4 exhibition win over the Blue Jays. The Red Sox outfielder's batting .435 and slugging .826 in nine games.
Benintendi spoke with W-B-Z's Jonny Miller and discussed what he's still working on with the regular season approaching.
"Right now, I feel like I'm seeing the ball well at the plate, and I think now it's just more or less keeping your body healthy, trying to maintain your weight these last few days down here," he said. "It's not been as hot these past few days, but you know, still sweating out there and fine-tuning stuff and staying consistent."

Benintendi changed his stance a bit this year because he wanted to eliminate some of the unnecessary movement for more plate coverage.
Manager Alex Cora's feeling good about his left fielder's offense.
"Andrew's a good player, very confident, too," Cora said. "I talked to him in January about certain things, and he's buying into it ... I really like what he's doing in that second spot, that's where he's gonna be, and I'm looking for him to do some damage in that spot. And when he's not doing damage, he can run the bases, too."
