WASHINGTON, D.C (WBZ-AM) -- Rex Tillerson is out as U.S. Secretary of State. The announcement was made in a tweet by President Donald J. Trump Tuesday morning.

Central Intelligence Agency Director Mike Pompeo, will become the newest Secretary of State.
Gina Hapsel, the current Deputy Director at the CIA, was also named by the President to be the new CIA Director replacing Pompeo. She is the first woman to be appointed to that role.
No further explanation was made by the President for the sudden change.
