BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- The snow piles may be causing some issues for this weekend's St. Patrick's Day Celebration in Southie.
The City of Boston received over 14 inches of new snow from the March 13 blizzard.
"If it's seems dangerous out there, even though it would not have snowed in three days , if we can't clear the routes then we don't want to bring people in standing on snow piles while the parade is going on and causing danger for folks," Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said.
The mayor says he'll have an answer by Thursday on whether the streets will be cleared in time for the the parade on Sunday.
In 2015, City and Parade Officials made adjustments to the parade route after severe back-to-back snow storm hit the region.
