Construction Workers Rescued After Accident in Allston

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) – At least two construction workers had to be rescued after an accident at a worksite in Allston.

They were rescued from the fifth floor of a building that's under construction at 140 Western Avenue right across from the Harvard Stadium Wednesday.

The site is the future home of the Harvard University Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Boston Fire say the two workers fell about twenty feet from the fifth floor to the third floor they were standing on some scaffolding in a temporary stairwell when.

Rescuers on the scene had a hard time getting to them initially Fire Department’s Technical Unit was called where they went in on ladder trucks taking the two men down in buckets onto stretchers.

WBZ NewsRadio1030’s Kim Tunniclife reports that the two workers appeared to be alert and they were taken to a Boston area hospital.

No word on their condition or what company they're working for.
