Anthony Stimson of Boston is accused of robbing the 52-year-old man, who had apparently suffered some sort of medical emergency, around 5 a.m. inside the station.
MBTA Police said Stimson came upon the man on the ground, rummaged through his belongings, and allegedly stole several items--including the victim's prescriptions.
Stimson is now charged with larceny. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later found Stimson on Summer Street carrying a prescription bottle that belonged to the victim.
"It is shocking to hear about it, just because that's somebody that's vulnerable, and he took advantage of them," one MBTA rider told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kim Tunnicliffe.
"It's very sad that this is human nature," said another.
