BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A brutal winter and delayed fuel assistance funding have left many Boston area residents with bills they can't pay.

Those people are now facing a cold, dark future after April 1st.

The group Action For Boston Community Development, is calling on Department of Human Services release already-allocated money to families facing the prospect of having their electric and gas service turned off

ABCD is also urging Massachusetts representatives to add more fuel assistance funding to the next budget.
