CAMBRIDGE (24/7 News Source) -- Police are suspecting a religious sacrifice may have taken place after discovering animal remains in Harvard Square.
Authorities say pig and goat heads and dead birds were found in a garbage can on March 31st.
Some of the heads had incense candles in them, prompting investigators to believe the remains were part of a religious ceremony.
No suspects have been identified, and no charges are expected.
