CONCORD (24/7 News Source) -- Researchers have a peculiar request for people visiting historic Walden Pond: stop relieving yourself in it.
Officials say when swimmers urinate in the Concord pond, it nourishes micro-organisms that in turn choke the water and make it murkier.
Scientists add as the climate warms up, it encourages micro-algae growth, so they hope a cut down in human waste can help Walden Pond rebound within the next few decades.
