Settlement Reachd In Kyzr Willis Drowning

BOSTON, MA (WBz-AM) -- A settlement has been reached between the City of Boston and the Family of Kyzr Willis, The 7-year-old-boy who drowned at at City Summer Camp in South Boston in 2016

The family's lawyer confrms with WBZ NewsRadio1030 that they have reached a $5-Million Dollar Settlement after filing a wrongful death suit agaist the city.

In their suit the family clams that the staff at the Curley Community Center did not provide Willis with a lifejacket while played on Carson Beach -- as required by law.

In a statement, his mother says they're setting up a scholarship and foundation in Kyzr's name.
