YARMOUTH (WBZ-AM) -- A candlelight vigil has been planned for a Yarmouth Police officer who was killed in the line of duty.
The vigil for K9 Officer Sean M. Gannon will be held at the Town of Yarmouth 911 Memorial on the grounds of the Yarmouth Police Department at 7 p.m. Saturday.
"All are welcome and urged to attend as we express of love for Officer Gannon and his family as we grieve together as one," the department wrote on their Facebook page Friday.
Officer Gannon was shot and killed Thursday afternoon while serving a warrant in Barnstable.
Gannon, 32, had been with the department for eight years and leaves behind a wife.
