NightSide with Dan Rea – Rundown for 4/16/18

Should We Have the Death Penalty?  The debate of whether states should or shouldn’t support the death penalty is perpetual and one that stokes passion on both sides of the argument. Joining Dan in the NightSide studio for this discussion on the death penalty is noted Boston and Westwood criminal defense attorney William D. Kickham. William has been practicing law since 1988 and is also a media veteran, having hosted his own television program. Tune in and call the show with your take!

Mourning the Loss of a Yarmouth Officer  Officer Sean Gannon was an eight-year police veteran killed in the line of duty serving a warrant to Thomas Latanowich. Latanowich is a career criminal with a long rap sheet of over 100 charges from assault to drug possession. This incident is a reminder of the sacrifice police officers make in protecting their community. Our guests joining Dan are State Representative Shaunna O’Connell and Yarmouth Police Chief Frank Frederickson to share their thoughts on this matter. Why was someone with his lengthy criminal record able to roam the streets freely? Should the death penalty be considered for him? Call in with your thoughts and be heard.

Comey vs. Trump!  Ex-FBI Director James Comey revealed a behind-the-scenes look of all-things President Trump, from allegations of him being a serial liar and even likening him to a “mob boss” in last night’s ABC interview. President Trump fired back last night with the usual fiery tweets such as “the WORST FBI Director in history, by far!” Who do you believe is telling the truth? Did Comey do himself a disservice with his tell-all? Call in to share your take and who you side with!
