MALDEN, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A multi-family home is heavily damaged after a fire rips through it Wednesday morning.
Resident Margaret Hammersley, who lives in the home, credits a Malden Police officer for helping her escape out of her burning house on Ashland Street."
"I appreciated what she did for for me I was there alone....She was great."
There were no injuries but the fire left extensive damage to the roof there is no cause on how the fire destroyed the home.
