BOSTON, MA (24/7 News Source)-- Eversource is notifying the public that a semi-annual aerial inspection of the electrical grid in eastern Massachusetts is scheduled this week, starting Tuesday.
The semi-annual infrared inspection can detect potential problems before they happen.
The company says a blue and white helicopter will hover over high-voltage equipment, weather permitting.
The inspection starts in the Wilmington-Woburn area, continues south toward Metrowest, then the South Shore, Greater New Bedford and Cape Cod.
