NEW BEDFORD, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Faculty and staff at City on a Hill New Bedford Charter School are joining the Boston Teachers Union.
The move comes after employees at two other schools operated by City on a Hill, both in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood, announced earlier this year they were joining the BTU.
Teachers and staff at all three schools say they've unionized to give teachers and staff more say in decision-making, to improve teacher retention, increase budget transparency and equitable pay.
