METHUEN, MA (WBZ-AM )-- The City of Methuen is looking to hire another tree removal company to help with winter cleanup after the city initial contract fell short.
Methuen mayor Jim Jajuga says the city hired valley tree services last month to get rid of the trees and limbs that fell during the recent nor’easter.
But the nearly $50,000 dollars the city paid wasn’t enough to get the job done.
Jajuga says the bidding process will take two weeks. In the meantime, he says DPW workers will do what they can to get rid of the debris.
