ROXBURY (WBZ-AM) -- An MBTA Route 1 bus was hit by a bullet overnight in Roxbury.
The driver and two passengers were aboard the bus at the time. Nobody was injured.
It happened a little after midnight in the vicinity of Melnea Cass Boulevard and Albany Street.
The bullet struck the windshield, and the driver pulled over to the side of Melnea Cass and contacted police.
The bus was taken out of service after Boston Police collected evidence and cleared the scene.
It wasn't known where the bullet came from, though there was a report of shots fired on nearby Dearborn Street at the time.
Police are still investigating.
