The Cape Cod times reports as he sat in the attic of the Marstons Mills home where the murder occurred, Thomas Latanowich sent what the paper calls "frantic" messages to his ex-girlfriend -- saying: "I shot a cop -- I killed a cop."
The paper reports Latanowich and Krystal Bearse had a conversation -- in which Bearse told him to "do the right thing."
Latanowich then asked Massachusetts State Police to get Bearse to the home -- which she agreed to do -- and sometime later – Latanowich was taken into custody.
