GLOUCESTER, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A home on Essex avenue was completely destroyed by an overnight fire.
The call came in at around midnight Thursday. and when crews arrived they found the home fully involved with flames.
Two people in the home were able to get out safely.
No other injuries were reported. It took about an hour for them to bring the fire under control, but the firefighters remained on the scene for some time to wet down hot spots.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
