TAUNTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Students at Taunton High School and Parker Middle School are staying home Tuesday -- both schools are closed after authorities found threatening note on campus late Monday afternoon.
Police say that the anonymous threat warrants further investigation -- so officials advised for all classes and after-school activities to be cancelled for the day.
Schools officials say it's never easy to make the decision to cancel school but they say the safety and security of the school community is their top priority. '
They also say students will be required to make up the day later in the semester.
