SHIRLEY, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A convicted child rapist who has been behind bars for more than 40 years will not be released today.
Last week, two forensic Psychologists paved theway for 70-year-old Wayne Chapman's release when they rulsed that he is no longer a danger.
This morning Erick Tennen, Chapman's laywer, told WBZ NewsRadio1030 that his client won't be let out until he has a place to live.
"It work as fast or as slow as the process takes to find him a place that can deal with his medical needs," he said "if we find a place tomorrow, then we can move the process up, if it takes us longer than that then the process waits."
Chapman's pending release has angered many -- including relatives who suspect he was behind the disappearance of a 10 year-old Lawrence boy in 1976
