BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Comcast users are having telephone problems across the state--and possibly across the country.
The company confirmed to WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that "some" business customers are without phone service.
However, multiple police departments across Massachusetts and the New England region were without phone service Wednesday--including Pembroke, Newton, Tewksbury, Somerset, and Freetown.
That's in addition to other companies and organizations--even Congressman Joe Kennedy's office in Newton has no phones.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030 has reached out again to Comcast for clarification on the extent and cause of the problem.
