BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Rob Gronkowski showed up at the Patriots' mandatory minicamp last week but, so far, he's skipped all of the team's voluntary offseason workouts, including this week's OTAs.

That shouldn't come as a surprise considering the tight end's expressed desire last week to rework his deal.

Well, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, Gronkowski is likely to get a new deal from the Pats, though nothing is imminent. Florio's source said there's still plenty of work to do. The belief is Gronkowski will get another sweetener to his deal.

The four-time All-Pro is 29, with two years and $17 million left on his current contract. He earned 10-point-2 million dollars last season - most in the N-F-L at his position. But, his total cash value for 2018 sits at 8-point-9 million, and that's fifth among tight ends, behind Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen, Trey Burton, and Zach Ertz.
