BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Alex Cora's Red Sox drew 10 walks in last night's 6-4 win in Baltimore, and you can expect they'll be just as patient today when they try for a sweep opposite a 24-year-old making his Major League debut.

Chris Sale will square off with rookie Yefry Ramirez.

Sale's 5-and-2 with a 2.79 ERA in 15 lifetime appearances against the Orioles, including nine starts. But, the ace has lost his last three outings this year with a 5.40 ERA, though he was sharp last time out.

He faced the Orioles once, two months ago, and allowed one run over five frames in a no-decision.

Ramirez is filling in for injured hurler Andrew Cashner. The righty's up from Triple-A Norfolk, where he sported a 4.33 ERA in a dozen starts.

He'll have to deal with Mookie Betts. The MVP candidate and leading vote-getter for the All-Star Game sat out last night with an abdominal strain.

Sox and Yankees sit tied for first in the East. The MLB-worst O's have lost six in a row and 13 of 15.

First pitch on getaway day at 3:05. Boston's 8-and-1 against Baltimore this season.
