BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Chris Sale was the winning pitcher in last night's finale in Baltimore.

"Well the games right now count just as much, so any time you can sweep a team, especially to start a long road trip, this is just a boost of energy for us going into Seattle," he said.

Boston completed the three-game sweep and, as the ace said, trip continues tonight with the first of four in Seattle. But, this may be different.

Orioles stink. Worst in the majors. Losses in 14 of 16. Mariners pace the West, they're 23-and-12 at home, and they've won 11 of 13. Of course, Red Sox are the MLB leaders and they're 8-3 their last 11.

David Price will try for his sixth straight win opposite a shockingly bad Felix Hernandez. The six-time All-Star and former Cy Young winner has a career-worst 5.70 ERA in 14 outings. Hernandez has started 19 games against the Sox, with a 4.01 ERA.

Price is 7-4 with an ERA of 4 overall, but it's a better 2.89 mark his last six appearances. The lefty's made two career starts in Seattle, with a 2.81 ERA.
