Two MedFlighted To Boston After Flash Fire in North Andover

NORTH ANDOVER, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Two people were Medflighted to Boston with serious injuries following what’s being described as a flash burn at a gas station in North Andover.

The gas station has been shut down as the cause remains under investigation.

a man driving a camper went to this Mobil gas station on Osgood street to refill vehicle’s propane tank, when something went wrong.

North Andover Fire Chief William McCarthy says a gas station employee and the driver suffered serious injuries including facial burns. another store employee ran out with a fire extinguisher.

Deputy Fire Chief Graham Rowe also responded to the scene.

The tank was eventually shut down. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating.
