BOSTON, MA (24/7 News Source) -- An interim Boston superintendent of schools is expected to be appointed by the end of the week.
Superintendent Tommy Chang announced Friday that he is leaving the position, three years into his five year contract.
Chang is currently in negotiations with the School Committee on his departure from the job.
Mayor Marty Walsh says the city needs a long term education leader with a proven record in management who can gain the confidence of the community.
