ROWLEY, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A 34-year-old man from Salem, NH died after falling from a tree in Rowley Thursday morning.
The Essex County District Attorney's Office confirms to WBZ NewsRadio1030 that the man, a worker from Mayer Tree Service based in Essex, was in the tree preparing to remove a branch at a private home when he suddenly fell from approximately 50 feet up shortly after 7:30am.
Officers from Rowley Police and Fire were called immediately and he was taken to Anna Jacques Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
While officials say they do not suspect foul play, they continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
