BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM /24/7 News Source) -- The head of an education related non-profit is expected to be named interim Boston Superintendent of Schools. EdVestors President and CEO Laura Perille will be offered a contract for the interim position at a meeting on Monday.

Superintendent Tommy Chang announced last week that he is stepping down.  Chang is currently negotiating the terms of his departure with the School Committee.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said that Perille is a longtime improvement advocate, a Boston Public School Parent and an experienced School system partner.
