ROCKLAND (WBZ-AM) -- A beloved family pet is still missing in Rockland after being scared off by fireworks. Gigi, a year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, bolted out of the Copeland family home on Birch Bottom Circle Tuesday night and hasn't been seen since.

"We've been devastated all day," Alicia Copeland told WBZ-TV. "Just non-stop crying, and hoping and reaching out to everyone that we can, in hopes that someone knows something or saw her, that we can find her ... it's basically like she's our sibling, our kid, and she's missing."

The family has put up posters in the neighborhood with Gigi's picture, urging anyone who may have seen the hundred-pound dog to please call Rockland Police.
