Sen. Warren To Host Town Hall, Cookout Following Iraq trip

BOSTON (AP) — Sen. Elizabeth Warren is hosting a town hall and cookout following an Independence Day trip to visit U.S. troops in Iraq and Kuwait.

The Democrat says she'll take questions from the audience at the event Sunday at Belkin Family Lookout Farm in Natick. Doors open at 2 p.m.

During her trip, Warren also met with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to discuss Iraq's recent elections, the ongoing effort to defeat ISIS and a shared desire to build a better life for the Iraqi people.

Warren is also swatting back comments by President Donald Trump, who again this week criticized Warren's claims of Native American heritage.

Warren said Trump should stop obsessing about her genes and instead focus on reuniting children separated from their parents at the nation's southern border.
