Some Residents Oppose New Charter School In West Roxbury

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM)  -- Roxbury Prep wants to consolidate two of its high schools into  one building to be built at the corner of West Roxbury Parkway and Belgrade Avenue. The location is near the Centre Street rotary, which this area residents says is already congested.

They say they are not against the school but say that the proposed location isn’t great.

But Autumn Gould-McGlaughlin, the spokesperson for the project, says the school choose the site out of about 57 locations since 2012, partially because of its proximity to the Bellevue T stop.

WBZ NewsRadio1030's Bernice Corpuz reports.
