Three Arrested After Apparently Trying To Get Goat High

TAUNTON (WBZ-AM) -- Three Taunton men have been arrested after police said a video circulated on social media of them blowing marijuana smoke into a goat's face. Lorenzo Kelley, 20, Nuno Camara Jr., 18, and Jared Jorge, 21, were all charged with animal cruelty and will appear in Taunton District Court at a later date, Taunton Police said. 

In the video, which was brought to the department's attention around 11 a.m. Tuesday, three men who were later identified as Kelley, Camara, and Jorge, taking a goat out of its pen and leading it out with a chain around its neck. Later in the video, the goat is seen inside a home--later found to be that of a relative of Camaras, on Thrasher Street--with the men sitting on it and blowing what appears to be marijuana smoke into its face.

"Throughout the video the men can be seen cheering and laughing at the alleged abuse of the animal," Taunton Police said in a release.

They identified and charged the three men, and also located the goat. It is now in the care of Animal Control, and is expected to be okay.
