Shooting Victim Found With Crack In Hospital

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Police say they are investigating a shooting that took a turn when a bag of drugs fell out of the pocket of a hospitalized victim.

A 21-year-old man was shot twice in the back Friday night in Worcester, and was uncooperative with authorities at St. Vincent's Hospital.

A bag of what appears to be crack cocaine fell out of the pocket of the man and was given to an officer. The victim will be issued a summons to appear in court. His identity and condition have not been revealed by Worcester police. The department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to reach out as their investigation is ongoing.
