Man Wanted For Wife's Killing In Dominican Republic Arrested

BOSTON (AP) — A man wanted by authorities in the Dominican Republic on charges that he killed and dismembered his wife has been found living in Massachusetts.

Federal prosecutors say Daniel Emilio Frias Segura was arrested Thursday and ordered detained pending the resolution of his extradition proceedings.

Officials say Frias Segura was wanted in the 2010 killing of 26-year-old Fanny Sanchez, who was strangled to death, decapitated and cut into pieces. Officials say she was seeking a divorce from Frias Segura when she was killed.

Prosecutors say Frias Segura flew to Puerto Rico the day after his wife's torso was found in a river. They say he's been living in Lynn, Massachusetts, for at least the last four years.

Frias Segura's public defender has declined to comment.
