City Health Officials Issue Warning After Confirmed Measles Case

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A measles warning to the public from the Boston Public health commission. 

The Boston Public Health Commission is warning of a potential measures exposure at two locations in the city, after receiving a confirmed case of measles.

 Anyone who may have visited the Tasty Burger at 1301 Boylston Street on July 19 between 7 pm and 11pm, or was at Logan Airport's Terminal B on July 20, 2018 between 8:30am and 2:30pm, could become ill between now and August 10th. 

Measles is highly contagious, and the virus may may remain in the environment after the infectious person has left the area. 

Exposure can occur without direct contact with the infected person. There are numerous Symptoms including a skin rash that usually occurs within three to five days. 

If you notice symptoms, the commission says  say you should call your health provider immediately.
