Man Accused Of Shooting Officers Arraigned In Hospital

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM)  --  The 21-year-old man who allegedly shot two police officers in Falmouth will was arraigned from his hospital bed Tuesday.  Officials say Malik Koval shot Falmouth Police officers ficer Donald DeMiranda, Ryan Moore who were responding to a call of a person breaking glass in the road on Friday night.

Two Police Officers, Suspect Shot In Falmouth

One officer was shot in the chest and shoulder while the other had a bullet graze his neck.  They returned fire and shot Koval four times.  He is currently in Brigham and Women's hospital under police supervision where pleaded not guilty to the following charges: two counts assault to murder, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, carrying a loaded firearm without a licence, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. 

He's being held without bail until a dangerousness hearing.  His mother and brother are also facing charges for allegedly interfering last week.
