BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — With crowds of spectators in every nook and cranny of the Boston Marathon route, getting the perfect picture can be tricky.

This isn't photographer Mike Borden's first rodeo. He's been taking photos of the Boston Marathon for the last 6 years.

This year, he's stationed at Coolidge Corner in Brookline on the south side corner of Beacon Street and Harvard Street with a folding chair and a camera in hand.

"Well we've got a couple of things that we want, we want the train station in the background, we want the Coolidge Corner building in the background," Borden told WBZ NewsRadio's Chaiel Schaffel. "Something to give them a landmark to let them know that it was the marathon and where they were at that time."

Borden plans to shoot more than 15 thousand photos of the 128th Boston Marathon. His goal is to capture every one of the 30,000 runners in a shot.

Once he gets the perfect picture, he's getting out of the way. Borden had some words for the wise.

"Be ready to find where you're parked, your public transportation, whatever you're going to take, and get ready to get out of here because it's going to become a zoo," Borden said.
