MALDEN (WBZ-AM) -- Driving while adorable is apparently a ticketable offense in Malden.

Earlier this week, Cori Salerno was with her husband and one-year-old son, Grayson, visiting family on Henry Street in Malden. Then, a police officer who happened to also be a friend of Salerno drove by--and the family realized it was a cute photo opportunity.

"I think it was my sister-in-law that said, 'What a cute picture! Pretend to give him a ticket or something'," she told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Ben Parker. "The officer is a friend of ours, and just took so much light in the situation and did it, and it was just so sweet, it was so fun."

Salerno put the photo on Instagram, and it has since gone viral.

"I think the greatest thing about all of this is how many people love it and are just laughing," she said. "It's just such a feel-good thing that so many people are appreciating, I think that's why I posted it."

She said even though Grayson probably had no idea what was happening, she's glad she took the time to capture the moment.
