WORCESTER, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A large water main break in Worcester leaving many residents without water.
Video from WBZ-TV's Skyeye helicopter, showed a of couple veichles submerged in water. One man could be seen on top a submerged pick up truck in an apparent sink hole. That man was later rescued -- his short soaked from the water main.
The Worcester Department of Public Works said the break happened after 3p.m. Tuesday "on a high service main on Frontage Road near Shore Drive. "
That road parallels Interstate-190.
It is a major break affecting surrounding streets and may affect a large service area. "Residents may experience no water, rusty water or low water pressure," officials say.
